About

My name is Eric Diewald, and I serve as the Lead Pastor of Awaken. My wife, Liz, and I moved to the Capital Region from the Philadelphia area 5 years ago. We love our Awaken family and the community that we enjoy together. 

I've found Awaken to be an easy-going church. We don't sweat the small stuff, and I personally find that to be refreshing! We're also a multiethnic church comprised of different people with different stories. Our common faith brings us together as we desire to honor, serve and love Jesus Christ above all. 

We love our community and desire to do as much good as we can here in the name of Jesus. City Mission Schenectady is one of our favorite ministries to serve alongside. They do incredible work and we feel privileged to partner with them in ministry.

We welcome you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am, or during one of our mid-week small groups. If there's any way that we can serve you, please don't hesitate to reach out.
